Ce film montre des professionnels de la santé engagés et compatissants qui font face aux incertitudes et aux dilemmes complexes inhérents aux efforts qu'ils déploient pour sauver deux patients atteints de troubles mentaux de leur propre vie. Il vise à nous mettre au défi de réfléchir différemment à la conception des soins de santé mentale.
Le film s'inspire d'événements réels et s'appuie sur des recherches menées par l'Université de Loughborough en partenariat avec Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, et Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, et est financé par le Patient Safety Collaborative and Health Education England.
